We Were There...Were You?

Yep...We watched the Royal Wedding early this morning from our living room. Wasn't it glorious.

Shari worked all night and came over as soon as she got off work and after stopping by her house to get into her favorite jammies and to snatch her Crown (which we shared) for picture taking.

I stayed in my favorite nitegown and we ate Sausage Bisquits and Orange Juice and piled up in fuzzy blankets and kicked back for a 4 hour Gala.

The names were fun to create. It's the silly game going around on Facebook where you begin with Lady if you're a girl and Lord if a boy. Then you take the first name of one of your grandparents followed by the name of your first or favorite pet and ending with "of" and the name of the street where you grew up.

It was quite fun and the only thing missing for an even "funner" wedding was Lori.
Oops I mean...Lady Margaret MollyBrown of Evelyn.

And of course if YOU had been there it would have been even better. Now what would YOUR Royal name be?

New Found Treasure

Do you know Basia Bulat?

She is a Canadian singer who plays the Autoharp and is Amazing. I found her recently while surfing for music to add to my blog and you can hear her sing Touch the Hem of His Garment by scrolling down to my Playlist at the bottom of this page. Also Little One.

I think she is simply unique and fresh and she has that smokey, bluesy voice somewhere between folk and soul.

Check out her website at Basia Bulat dot com

Blessings

We had a great time last week at Dauphin Island. I am so happy I got to spend time with my son Buddy. It has been 6 months since I last saw him and we had a great time; Punkin and I. We mostly fished and you can see here we had some fun and caught plenty of fishes too. This is Buddy and our Alabama granddaughter, Isabella.

My daughter Lori came over to visit a little while today and gave me a beautiful Easter Surprise. Tiny little Sterling Silver Cross Earrings.

Aren't they beautiful. I'm sorry I don't know enough about my camera to make a better picture. They're so dainty and sweet.

And last night daughter Shari brought our little great grandson Luke over for a visit. He had new Spiderman Underwear and wanted to show them off. He was three in January and sure has our hearts. Isn't he a cutie?

I am a woman most blessed.

Welcome Lana McKay

Isn't she a cutie? I think she is one of the prettiest newborn babies I've ever seen. She weighed in at 6lbs and 3 oz and to quote daughter Shari of her first grand daughter.................she is the perfect size!
Mike and I got in town right after this little lady made her appearance Thursday afternoon. She is the first baby for our granddaughter Emily, which makes her our 5th great grandchild!
ya don't think she will be a tiny bit spoiled with two little boy cousins close by do you! :-)

Easter/Spring Swap Pressies

Yikes, I guess I was so excited, my hands were shaking! teehee

Punkin and I got back from Mobile late Thursday and my Swap Package was waiting on me and I was blown away and over the moon about all the treasures my partner Astrid put together for me.

As you can see the box was filled with pastel goodness and I almost hated tearing into the little individually wrapped goodies but I did and I squealed and oohed and ahhd over every thing. Socks! I love them. A holiday is simply not complete without a pair to celebrate with.......

Astrid is a cross stitcher and she had made from a tulip shaped cookie cutter a little miniature hanging of a sweet little chick. She covered the other side to resemble a diorama and she wrapped a beautiful little rose tulle ribbon around it.

There was a cute Easter Nappy, 2 skeins of spring threads, a package of licac sticky notes, and more.

A beautiful little pewter cross to carry in my purse and a gorgeous lavender tulle bag holding a handmade bracelet with religious charms. Oh I love this little bracelet and I will wear it often. She did a wonderful job.

Then she sent Six handmade and individual note cards with envelopes. They are all so sweet and charming. I suspect I will keep them forever, although to completely enjoy a gift you sometimes want to share it with others so I may selectively send out one or two at some point!

And we were asked to list our fave candy and you can't beat Reeses around our house so this package of 6 eggs came along in the box. What?..........you can't see but 1 you say! ok.............. I confess, the moment I opened the candy the race was on between Punkin and myself and in fact the last one just disappeared. I tell you I am relentless with Reeses around.

Thank you so much and I am so happy to have you as a new sister. And Thank You to "Parsley" our hostess of this swap who always is the best swap coordinator ever. Go visit these gals, you'll be happy you did.!

Astrid can be found Here and Parsley is Here!
What a fun swap................You will never go wrong in Parsley's swaps. I think this is my 4th or 5th and each time I've met the most loving, caring women and Parsley just has it "together". No let-downs. If you've ever hosted a swap you know it is a lot of work and sometimes stuff happens and then hurt feelings, tears, and just a lot of "mess" but not with this group. Thanks again Parsley.

Oh yes and Parsley is having a Giveaway so be sure to go visit her and sign up!

We're Off.............

I'll be thinking about all of you this week as Punkin and I enjoy some sand time.

We're leaving in a few minutes for Dauphin Island out of Mobile, Alabama. Our son Buddy and his wife Jessica live there along with the three grandkids and we're excited about visiting them and doing some fishing.

I just hope the weather is beautiful and sunny so I can come back with a great tan and lots of Fish.

My poor Punkin works so hard all year and this is just what the doctor ordered for him. Sio 'yall take care and I'll check back with you at the end of the week.

God Bless, MizMollye and Punkin Darlin'

Time to Say "Good-bye"

Oh my little Lavorea. How I am going to miss you.

Tomorrow is the last day I will Tutor Lavorea for his Leap Test. O am sad to be leaving him but excited thinking about his future. I met him in February and twice a week have been going to his school and tutoring him. Tuesdays in Laungage Arts and Thursdays in Math.

Lavorea is 10 years old and is a smart boy. I think he will do fine on his tests.

All the children made little picture frames for "their" tutors. I will treausre this all my days and I will always remember Lavorea in my prayers and in my heart.

The experience was so wonderful and rewarding for me that I have signed up for the Foster Grandparent Program and I am excited to meet my new grandchild.

If any of you have time on your hands and are at a little loose ends I urge you to consider Tutoring. What a great Blessing for me!
