Rise and Shine

and she said "I'll rise but it is too early to shine".

For some reason Friday is a hard day to sleep in for me. I'm still playing with my "newly found" Picnik Program and it's fun. Wish I could tell you the steps I used to go from here

to here

but I just click on all sorts of options until I find something that pleases me and it turns out to be a OOAK creation!

Don't know if I've mentioned on my blog that our son Buddy and his wife Jessica are expecting a baby girl in January. I know I've talked about it on Facebook so if I'm repeating please excuse it to an excited granny's ramblings. We're planning a little trip to Mobile this weekend. Is there anyone reading this who lives in Mobile? Mike and Buddy are going to be doing some fishing and scouting for deer hunting places and I'm going to be left on my own. I'd love to meet someone in bloggy land and do some shopping.

My dil Jess told me there is a huge fabric store there where I can get unusual fabrics and some vintage laces so I'm looking forward to shopping for baby stuff to sew.

Where ever your weekend jaunts take you I hope you will be safe, stay cool and have a wonderful weekend and remember to tell someone you love them because Vita brevis (life is short).

Practice Makes uh.........Imperfect but Still Fun

This was a very small b/w photo with some editing and just playing around in Picnik. Of course I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Just clicking on different effects until I find something pleasing, but it sure is fast and fun!

Happy Tuesday everyone. I'm meeting my Punkin Darlin at noon for lunch together. We probably don't do this more than once every couple of years. Go figure.

From PICASA - PICNIK

Who knew you could have so much fun and it would be completely legal! Bwaaaaaaaaaaa

I just totally stumbled upon Picnik from Picasa and am having way too much fun playing around. Wouldn't it be a hoot if this could somehow get my creative side sparked up again! 'ya just never know.

TOO CUTE

Hi Ladies.....I'm knee deep in chores today but came across a cute picture I wanted to share with you. This is my third oldest grandson Joe who is my daughter Shari's oldest child. He will be 30 on Halloween and he is holding his youngest child, Luke who is 3 1/2. Luke is just the ray of sunshine for all of us. All children are precious we all know, but haven't you seen some who just seem to have a special aura about them? We're surrounded by youngins but I tell you folks, Luke is one of those for sure. It was obvious as a newborn and he'd seem to stare right straight through to your soul.

Y'all try to stay in and stay cool today.....we're still in triple digits here in Louisiana!
